Hammock in the Sofa

She isn't supposed to sleep on the back of the sofa cushions but she sneaks up there when I'm not looking. Then she forgot she was supposed to jump down when I walked in the room.

Naps

Sometimes naps are best under a blanket. Sometimes upside down.

Sometimes both.

Back on the Job

The rain seems to have stopped or at least slowed enough for the sun to shine and the grass to begin to dry out. The snakes and lizards are certainly not safe. If the moles managed to survive the flooding through their underground tunnels they should be warned.

Dora Mae ...

Hunter

The lizards need to beware. The hunter is at work, patrolling the backyard, defeating snakes, lizards and bugs within the family's territory of anything alien.

Groundhog Day

Its still cold in Texas and Dora remains covered up. Its sort of like the expectation of the groundhog on Groundhog Day. Dora didn't see her shadow because she was under the covers. It is predicted to be an early spring.

Doggy, Its Cold Outside

The snow day slowed down the dogs in the household. Hibernation mode is the standard operating condition of these four legged critters. If there is a blanket (or two) they can be found there. All tucked in.

Heaven forbid if anyone has to go potty. With snow on the ground and ...

Soft and Fuzzy

I love this photo. It shows exactly why I love this face. This is how she sleeps while wedged in next to me. She snuggles under my leg (if I have it propped up for my laptop) and she has an instant den for sleeping.

Still Snorkeling

The weather has turned cold in north Texas. Usually Dora is wedged in next to me, helping her to stay warm while Thelma nestles into the couch bed, under the blanket.

When Dora is sleepy and cold, she wants in her couch bed. She wants Thelma out. She will fuss and ...

By a Nose

Dora loves noses. If she manages to sneak herself onto a lap, she will enjoy the back rub and the head scratch while she plots her next move. She will carefully manuever herself into a position so that a nose is in view.

With stealth precision, Dora strikes like a cobra.

She ...

Snorkeling

Dora Mae snorkels. Sometimes she snorkels in a way that is easily spotted. Other times she snorkels in stealth mode.

She sleeps under her blanket, snuggled down for her cozy, relaxing nap.

And she pokes her nose out. For air? For temperature control? To keep an 'eye' out for invaders?
